Skylights & Solar Tubes
Impact-rated skylight installation, replacement and leak repair, plus tubular daylighting.

A skylight is a hole in your roof that has to be built better than the roof around it. We install impact-rated units with proper curbs and flashing kits, and we replace the yellowed, leaking skylights from the 90s that most South Florida homes still have.
What is included
- Impact-rated fixed and venting skylights with Miami-Dade NOA
- Curb-mounted and deck-mounted installation with flashing kits
- Tubular daylighting (solar tubes) for hallways and baths
- Replacement of existing units during a re-roof
- Leak repair at skylight flashings
- Interior shaft framing and drywall finish
Why it matters in South Florida
Skylights in the HVHZ must be impact-rated and installed per their product approval. Old acrylic domes are a common insurance flag. Replacing them during a re-roof costs a fraction of doing it later.
How it works
- 01
Choose
Size, glazing and venting picked for the room and the roof type.
- 02
Frame
Curb and shaft framed, flashed and tied into the roof system.
- 03
Finish
Glass set, interior finished, water tested.
Questions we hear about skylights
Do skylights make the room hot?
Modern low-E laminated glass blocks most of the heat. The old acrylic domes are what gave skylights that reputation.
Can you add a skylight to a tile roof?
Yes. Curb-mounted units flash cleanly into tile with a metal pan and saddle.
What is a solar tube?
A small reflective tube that brings daylight into interior rooms without a full skylight shaft. Great for hallways and bathrooms.
