Why it matters in South Florida
Covered patios attached to the house are structures under the Florida Building Code and need engineering and permits. We build them to the same wind loads as the house so they do not become the first thing to go in a storm.

Questions we hear about outdoor
Do pavers need a permit?
Usually not for a patio, but driveways and anything in a swale often do. We check with your city.
Can you extend my roof over the patio?
Yes. That is one of the advantages of a contractor who does both roofing and construction.
How long does an outdoor kitchen take?
Three to six weeks after permits, depending on utilities.
