White flat tile re-roof on a canal home in Pompano Beach
Full tile re-roof on a single-story canal-front home in Pompano Beach: the old roof stripped to the deck, the deck dried in, and white flat concrete tile delivered, staged and set course by course to a clean, bright finish.
Built for Karl, Pompano Beach

The house sits on a canal, which means salt air and full sun all day. The homeowner chose a white flat concrete tile: it reflects heat better than a dark roof, carries a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance, and suits the low, mid-century lines of the house.
The crew stripped the old roof to the plywood and hauled the debris straight into the dump trailer in the driveway, so nothing sat in the yard. The deck was inspected, dried in with self-adhered underlayment, and then the tile was craned up in bundles and staged along the slopes before setting began at the eaves.
The finished roof reads bright white from the street and from the canal, with closed hips and ridge and a clean edge at the eave. The homeowner gets the permit paperwork, the final county inspection and the wind mitigation report for the insurer.
